Balancing the function of the Spleen and Stomach, tangerine peel, also called Mandarin peel, is helpful for balancing Qi, or vital energy. Tangerine peel’s warm essence helps to clear phlegm and eliminate dampness in the Stomach and upper abdominal area. When you have a cold, take a hot bath, drink this tea, and then go to bed, wrapping yourself up in a warm blanket to sweat the cold out. For a scratchy throat, add a little peppermint to the mixture.

TANGERINE PEEL TEA
One Response to TANGERINE PEEL TEA
  1. Very good. My sister had this from her Chinese doctor, without the honey since she was pregnant at the time. It worked really well when I was visiting and feeling like I was catching a cold. She didn’t do the almonds either now that I think of it. Can you please tell me if I use the whole scallion and what do the almonds due??
