
SPICED CAULIFLOWER
A warming dish for fall, cauliflower helps support your Kidney function, while turmeric and other warming spices give an extra boost to your Stomach.

1 large head cauliflower
1/3 cup olive oil
Your choice of spice: turmeric, cayenne, chili or red pepper flakes
Handful of pine nuts
2 teaspoons salt
Freshly ground pepper, to taste

Trim leaves from the bottom of the cauliflower and cut it into big chunks. Rinse and then dry well.

Meanwhile, mix the oil, spices and pine nuts in a medium-sized bowl. Adjust the seasonings according to your taste.

Toss cauliflower in oil mixture.

Place the cauliflower in a baking dish. Bake in a 375 degree oven for about 35 minutes, or until the golden brown. You may want to turn the cauliflower once after 20 minutes of baking.

Let cool slightly.
