Daikon radish is a superfood for the digestive system. This radish has been used traditionally for centuries in Chinese cooking to benefit the Spleen and the Stomach, especially if you have heat conditions in the body.

Radish soup
Yields1 Serving
 1 daikon radish, diced
 Salt to taste
 2 teaspoon of mushroom powder
 1-2 teaspoons of butter (optional)
 1 Tablespoon cream or half and half (optional)

Cover radish in a pot of boiling water.

Add mushroom powder and salt to taste.

Allow to cook for 30 minutes or until the radish is tender.

Use a hand-held immersion blender to puree the soup.

Add butter and cream and puree for an additional minute.

Note: Use only enough water to cover the radish if you prefer a thick soup.
