ROASTED NUTS
Roasting nuts releases a healing essence. Unroasted nuts are considered raw and take energy for the body to digest.

Select the kind of nuts you want to roast such as walnuts, cashews, almonds, hazelnuts, pine nuts
1Heat the oven to 350 degrees.
Spread the nuts evenly on a cookie sheet.

2Place the tray on the middle rack and bake for 6-8 minutes.
Shake the tray a few times to ensure nuts roast evenly.
You'll smell a nutty fragrance when they're done!

3Pine nuts cook quickly so we suggest using a frying pan or wok.
Add 1 teaspoon of oil to a cold wok and add the pine nuts.
Shake the pan to prevent the nuts from burning.

4NOTE: You can bake multiple varieties at the same time.
Walnuts and cashews toast well together while almonds and hazelnuts take a bit longer.
5Be creative. Make a mixture of your favorite nuts and munch on them all week. Add some dried cranberries or apricots for a sweet taste.
