Many warming flavors of fall are in this dish–delicate pears, sweet honey, spicy cinnamon, and rejuvenating ginger. Pears help to remove heat from the body and are beneficial to the Lung and Large Intestine. Honey and ginger also have healing essences that strengthen your Lung/Large Intestine energy, and the nuts and cinnamon support your Kidneys. Use candied pecans or walnuts to turn this into an extra-special healing dessert for the Fall!

Yields1 Serving
 6 ripe pears, cored and cubed
 1 1/2 Tablespoons of lemon juice
 3 Tablespoons of honey
 4 Tablespoons of water
 2 teaspoons of cinnamon
 1 teaspoon of fresh ginger, peeled and minced
 1/3 cup of pecans or walnuts, chopped (optional)

Preheat oven to 375°.

Combine all ingredients in an oven-safe baking dish and mix to combine.

Cook uncovered for 20 minutes.

Let stand at room temperature for about 15 minutes.

Then sprinkled chopped nuts over the pears (optional).

Serve warm.
