HONEY BAKED APPLES

This recipe nourishes the Spleen, supporting digestion, and harmonizing the body's energies. The apples and raisins moisten dryness, while the honey and nuts support the Lung and Kidney.

 2 apples, cut in half and cored
 1 tablespoon of honey
 2 tablespoons of maple syrup
 Handful of chopped nuts
 Handful of raisins

Heat the oven to 350 degrees.
Arrange the apple halves in a casserole.

Add 3 tablespoons of water to the casserole.
Drizzle the honey and maple syrup over the apples.
Add the nuts and raisins.

Bake for 30 minutes, uncovered, or until tender.
