
FRENCH TOAST WITH SPICED APPLES
Bread has such a nurturing impact on the body. Adding warm fruit and eggs blends support to the Stomach, Liver and Kidney.

1/2 cup of water
2 slices of fresh ginger
1 teaspoon of cinnamon
1 teaspoon of brown sugar
handful of raisins
1 apple, cut into bite sized chunks
2 eggs
2 tablespoons of milk
1/2 teaspoon of vanilla
2-3 slices of bread
1 tablespoon of butter

Add the water to a small pot along with the ginger, cinnamon, brown sugar and raisins. When it boils lower to a simmer and add the chopped apple. Allow flavors to blend for 5 minutes, or longer.

In a bowl, mix together the eggs, milk, and vanilla. Next add one slice of bread at a time to the mixture and coat with the egg batter.

Heat the frying pan then add the butter.
Add the soaked bread to the frying pan and toast on one side.

Flip the toasted bread so both sides are a golden brown.

Remove and top with the apple mixture.
