The warmth of the oatmeal allows the digestive system to process nutrients more efficiently. Strawberries have many health benefits but are especially good to calm a cough and cool the Lung. The almonds support healthy Lung function.

 1 cup of boiling water
 ½ cup of oatmeal
 3 Strawberries
  cup of chopped almonds

To the pot of boiling water, add the oatmeal and stir.
Lower the flame to a simmer.

Allow to cook uncovered for 3-5 minutes or until the mixture becomes thick.

Spoon the oatmeal into a bowl and top with strawberries, and almonds.
Drizzle a bit of maple syrup on top if desired.
