JOANN’S CASHEW ENERGY BALLS

These nut balls are a tasty treat, or have them for breakfast. Good for the Kidney and the spices are warming.

Yields1 Serving
 1 cup lightly toasted cashews
 2 1/2 cups pitted dates
 2 teaspoons sunflower seeds
 Pinch of salt
 1 teaspoon vanilla
 1 teaspoon turmeric
 1 teaspoon cinnamon
 1 teaspoon powdered ginger
 Water, as needed
 Dried coconut flakes

Combine all ingredients in a food processor, except the water and coconut.

Pulse until it reaches a chunky but pliable consistency. A bit of water may be needed, but add in tiny amounts or it will be too sticky.

Remove from the food processor and roll into 1 to 1 1/2 inch balls.

Roll the balls in the coconut flakes and refrigerate.

Make a double batch and freeze them!
