This sweet dish can change the taste of various dishes including barley cereal, oatmeal, nuts, pancakes, stewed apples and more. Strawberries are cooling in nature and are cooling to help with a dry throat. Raspberries bring a healing essence to the Kidney and Liver.

Yields1 Serving
 ½ cup of strawberries, washed and sliced
 ½ cup of rasberries, washed
 3 tablespoons of orange juice
 2 tablespoons of maple syrup or honey
 Cinnamon to taste
 Ginger to taste

Place all ingredients in a sauce pan.
Cook on medium until warm

Once warm, stir and mash to desired consistency.

Add walnuts to a bowl and top with the warm berry mixture.

Optional: Add some berry mixture to barley or oatmeal for an added zing.
