
AUTUMN FRUIT COMPOTE
Warm pears are the ideal fruit to support Lung function. Plums support Liver function. By adding pine nuts you also support Kidney function and maple syrup adds a warming element to the entire dish.
2 apples, chopped
3 Damson plums, chopped
2 pears, chopped
1 small handful of pine nuts
1 handful of walnuts
2 tsp maple syrup
2 whole cloves, or cinnamon
1/4 cup oatmeal flakes

If you're using a slow cooker, mix all of the ingredients into the pot. Cook on low until the apples are slightly soft.

If you choose to bake it instead, mix the fruit and maple syrup, and your spice of choice in a casserole dish.

Cover and bake in a 350 degree oven for 15 minutes.

Lightly toast the nuts and oatmeal together in a dry wok or skillet.

Place on top of the fruit mixture and bake uncovered for 10 more minutes.
