
BARLEY WITH A KICK
Our bodies work hard to keep us in balance as we transition to the new season. If you notice the signs of your Lung needing support, you can choose to eat spicy to bring the body into balance.
1/3 cup barley (this will make enough for another portion)
Handful of peanuts
Handful of wasabi peas
Handful of raisins (or craisins)
1 tbsp of honey

Add the barley (rinsed) to boiling water with a pinch of salt. Cook until it's soft yet still holds its shape.

In the meantime chop the peanuts, and gently chop the wasabi peas into small bits. Add it into a bowl with raisins.

When the barley is cooked, strain out any excess water. Preserve half of the barley for another meal. Then add the nut/raisin mixture and the honey, and stir to combine.
