Slow Down With Nature This Holiday Season

The holiday season is a wonderful time of appreciation for all of life’s gifts—both tangible and intangible. But for many of us, holiday cheer can be stressful and even exhausting. Many of us stay up late addressing cards and shopping for last-minute gifts, emptying both our wallets and our energy reserves. Overdoing it can take its toll, especially during the winter season.

So how do you create balance during this fun-filled season? Take a cue from Nature and slow down! Just look around you—the trees have shed their leaves, some animals are hibernating and others are conserving their energy by eating the foods they spent the last few months storing up.

If you’re already feeling low on energy and high on stress this holiday season, take a step back. Ask yourself this: Can I reduce my stress levels by conserving my energy? Consider eating light meals and resting as much as possible. Of course, you don’t want to sleep through the holiday celebrations. But caring for yourself—mind, body and spirit—this winter season, will set the stage for a new year full of health and balance.

Our Winter Soup Cleanse with Grand Master Nan Lu is starting up in just a few weeks. Join us in this virtual post-holiday cleanse from January 19-February 2.
