Five Element Consciousness Framework is an ancient formula of interrelationships. It helps us to understand the connections apparent in Nature, as well as in our own bodies. For example, the Heart’s energy is at its highest in Summer. Heart connects to the fire element. We know that Summer’s heat can sometimes be stifling. The only thing that quenches the “fire” or releases the humidity in the air is a good thunderstorm. If we look back at the Five Element chart, we see that the Water element represents the Kidney. In the body, the Kidney is in charge of cooling the Heart. Just as water puts out fire in Nature, the Kidney calms the Heart in the body.
