It’s a busy time of the year, when Nature is preparing for growth and new life. You, too, can harness Spring’s energy to bloom and grow. Spring’s energy energetically resonates with and supports the Liver. So now is the best time to take steps to boost your Liver’s energy and function.

The Liver is the organ most affected by emotional stress. Energetically, it also is the driving force behind your creativity, your visionary fulfillment and your sky-is-the-limit attitude, helping you flow through life with flexibility. When the Liver is blocked, you often feel depressed, frustrated, angry, stuck-in-a-rut, or even creatively blocked—definitely not in the mood to spread your wings and fly!

Here are three simple things you can do to unblock your flow and get moving again:

  1. Eat for Healing: The healing essence of sour and green foods energetically strengthens Liver function. Try dandelion greens, broccoli, plums, green apples, and pickles.
  2. Energy Practice: Try Qigong or another energy practice to get your Qi flowing. You’ll feel lighter and less tense in mind-body-spirit.
  3. Release your frustrations! Pop balloons, jump on some bubble wrap, or break eggs in the woods. Feel the freedom that comes with letting these emotions go!
