Super Beaver Moon and Women’s Health
For one day every month, we look up to the skies and bask in the glow of Universal energy. This month, the Full Beaver Moon is also a supermoon, which reaches peak illumination on Wednesday, November 5 at 8:19 AM EST. It will appear below the horizon at that time, so be sure to look to the skies on the evenings of November 4 and 5 for the best showing. As the second of three consecutive supermoons of 2025, the Super Beaver Moon will orbit closest to earth—just 221,817 miles (356,980 kilometers) away—making it the largest and brightest supermoon of the year. The final supermoon of 2025—the Super Cold Moon—will greet us on December 4.
November Astronomical Activity
The Super Beaver Moon opens the door to a bevy of astronomical activity throughout the month of November. Right in line with the supermoon’s peak comes the Southern Taurid meteor shower. About one week later, around November 11–12, comes the peak of the Northern Taurid meteor shower and its exceptionally bright fireballs. The Leonids are next—around November 17-18—bringing up to 15–20 meteors every hour.
In the Northern Hemisphere, winter constellations become more visible in November. While our eyes will be fixated on the bold light of the supermoon, the moon will pass by the Pleiades constellation, known as the Seven Sisters, on November 6. Orion, Taurus, and Gemini will also be visible, and will be accompanied by Uranus, which will be closest to earth on November 21. You’ll need a clear night sky and a good pair of binoculars or a telescope to view Uranus, which is best viewed in the eastern and southern skies. Luckily, November 20 is a new moon, creating the perfect backdrop to view Uranus.
Women and the Moon Family
As the Super Beaver Moon illuminates the sky, we celebrate the power of the moon, as well as the power of women. Women come from the moon family—the most powerful family. While the sun needs to show itself every day, the full moon is invisible for all but one day every month. It balances an entire month of Qi in just one beautiful showing. Women hold this invisible power.
In the full moon we see yin and yang, day and night, invisible and visible. When the full moon fills the sky, it affects the ocean tides and each one of us. Just as the ocean represents 70% of Earth, the human body is composed of about 70% water.
All life on Earth is based on the moon. That’s the power and the life behind you. The moon is always behind you. The invisible is always more powerful than the visible.
