WATERMELON BARLEY BREAKFAST

This recipe brings a nurturing warmth to the Stomach function, while also cooling the body down. Watermelon has a cooling essence that will aid your body to find a natural balance on those warm summer days.

 1/4 cup of rinsed Chinese barley
 Watermelon, diced
 Small handful of peanuts

Pour rinsed barley into a pot with 4x the amount of water. Bring to a boil and cook for about 30 minutes.

Cut a piece of watermelon, and dice it into bite sized pieces. Chop peanuts into fine pieces.

Once the barley is tender yet firm, take off of the heat and drain.

Now you're ready to serve. Mix together a portion of the barley with the watermelon and peanut pieces, and enjoy.
