
NUTTY APPLES
Apples gently nourish Qi and help moisten the body, supporting the Digestive system. Nuts strengthen the Kidney and provide deeper nourishment. Both organs enjoy a cooperative relationship with the Liver.
4-5 apples, skinned on the top
Handful of raisins
Mixture of nuts and seeds, we used pumpkin seeds and walnuts
2 tbsp maple syrup or honey
Sprinkle of cinnamon
Pinch of salt
1/4 cup of water

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

Place the apples in a casserole dish. Add the water.

Add the remaining ingredients. Place into the oven and bake for 30 minutes, or until soft.

Hint: Make extra so you can top your hot cereals with the baked apples.
