QI BOOSTING STIR-FRY
This dish balances warming and cooling ingredients to support digestion, circulation, and overall Qi flow. With shrimp to nourish Kidney Qi, broccoli rabe to support the Liver, and garlic to promote digestion, it’s a flavorful meal.
½ pound of thin pasta or noodles
1 Tablespoon of. oil
1 Tablesppon of salt
2 cloves of garlic, crushed
1 bunch of Broccoli Rabe, Chopped
5 shitake mushrooms, sliced in half
6 shrimp-sliced down the center
Splash of wine
Hot pepper flakes to taste
1Add the pasta to a large pot of boiling water.
2Meanwhile, heat the wok and add the oil, salt, and garlic. Stir briefly, then add the broccoli rabe and mushrooms. Stir-fry for 2 minutes, or until the broccoli rabe is slightly tender. (Do not overcook.)
3With a large spoon, make a space in the center of the veggie mixture. Then, add the shrimp and toss for 1 minute, or until the shrimp are slightly pink
4Drain the pasta when it is al dente, reserving 1/4 cup of the pasta water.
Add the pasta and reserved water to the wok. Stir in the wine and hot pepper flakes, then toss for another minute.
6Optional: Add chopped parsley just before serving.
