Just after sunset on Friday, February 28, 2025, seven planets will appear to align in the sky. The first four—Mercury, Venus, Jupiter, and Mars—will all be visible with the naked eye. A telescope or binoculars will be needed to view Uranus and Neptune. Finally, Saturn will be visible, although its proximity to the sun will make it difficult to see. Planetary alignment occurs when the planets, which all orbit the sun, appear to be lined up in a row on the same side of the sun.

Be sure to get outside and find a spot with a clear view of the night sky about 90 minutes before sunset. Look southwest, and continue observing until just after sunset. As you stand outside, practice The Dragon Stands Between Heaven and Earth to energize yourself. Don’t miss this opportunity! This seven-planetary alignment will not occur again until September 8, 2040.
